This route focuses on Portmán and the abandoned Sierra Minera mines – a region with a millennial history of mineral extraction, from Roman times to the late 20th century. You will see striking industrial landscapes left after the mine closures and learn about the serious environmental problem in Portmán Bay caused by decades of mining activity.
